20 Hunger Games Fun Facts!
1. Clove's death in the book was too graphic to be shown in the movie, so she was thrown against the Cornucopia wall instead.
2. The Hunger Games was filmed in North Carolina.
3. Alexander Ludwig (Cato) quoted that it was hot enough to make him and the other stars sweat during the movie. The producers had to bring towels to the stars.
4. Jacqueline Emerson (Foxface), gave herself a black eye accidently while doing a curlup during her Hunger Games training.
5. Katniss and Peeta's couple name is Katpee.
6. While filming the scene where Thresh saves Katniss from Clove, Jennifer Lawrence tells Dayo Okeniyi (Thresh) that his fly was down. Embarrassing, huh?
7. Josh Hutcherson scared Jennifer with a dummy that looked just like her and put her on the toilet. She admits she peed her pants. Super embarrassing!
8. Jacqueline Emerson admits that the crew's anthem was Tonight by Ne-Yo.
9. District 6 was the first district to lose both members.
10. On the first night, some of the tributes that had died didn't show up in the sky. Weird, huh?
11. During the training, did you notice a girl behind Katniss? That's district 7's Leigha Hancock. She was one of the shortest female tributes!
12. Kara Petersen, Kalia Prescott, and Jacqueline Emerson have become best friends while filming the movie! Another popular best friend duo was Leigha Hancock, Jack Quaid, and Ashton Moio.
13. THG cast had a swear jar. Whenever an older cast member would swear in front of a younger star, (Amanda Steinlberg, Ethan Jamieson, Willow Shields), they would have to put money in the jar!
14. The closest stars are Leven Rambin and Alexander Ludwig. They are best friends and supposedly dating. They'd be a cute couple, huh?
15. The tribute from district 3 (Kalia Prescott) was named Amber in the October Panem.
16. Catching Fire premieres in November 2013.
17. Jacqueline, Kalia, Dayo, Amanda, and Ethan went to see THG at the same theater on the same day. I honestly wonder if they got some type of special treatment...
